This little guy gave it a valiant effort but did not reach the feeding rail. Had he reached the feeding rail much to his chagrin the doors to the feeding ports would have closed. The feeding rails are designed to only support the weight of several birds and anything heavier will close the metal doors to the feeding portals. So far it has worked flawlessly but you never know when a wily squirrel will show up with a tree hook to hang onto while he devours the seeds.
